The Green Bay Packers and Cincinnati Bengals face off on Friday in a Week 1 NFL preseason Game at Paul Brown Stadium. These two teams had joint practices heading into this Game.
All Eyes on Jordan Love
All eyes are going to be on Packers quarterback Jordan Love in this Game. There have already been rumblings coming from Packers camp about Love struggling a bit, and there is a lot of pressure on him. There is no doubt that every throw he makes here is going to be critiqued. Not only is Love expected to play in this Game, he’s also going to play a large amount of this Game. Sean Clifford and Alex McGough should also get some run under center in this Game. There is going to be the pressure on the quarterbacks here, and they are all going to need to play well here.
Life without Joe Burrow
Joe Burrow might not have even played in this Game if he was Healthy, but he is now dealing with a calf strain and is out for a little while. The Bengals have three backup quarterbacks behind him, and all are expected to play in this Game. Trevor Sieman could end up staring a few Games this season, and this is a great chance for him to get comfortable with the offense. Last season for the Bears he threw for 184 yards, one touchdown, and oen interception. One other area this Bengals team might struggle is with the depth on the defense. In this Game the defense needs to be good against Love.

Shane’s Free Pick
I’m not sold with Love and even if he plays a big part of the game, the Packers offense is going to really struggle to get the offense going here. The Bengals offense might not exactly be elite either, but they are going to score enough to keep up with Love. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Bengals were able to win this game outright, but we will take the points to be safe. Back the Bengals against the spread.
