The Cleveland Guardians and the Texas Rangers will meet for their series finale this Sunday in Arlington from Globe Life Field on FS1. Texas snuck away with a two-run victory after early production, 2-0.

Guardians Betting Preview

Cleveland moved to 45-47 after losing to Texas. The Cleveland  offense is scoring 3.98 runs per Game, while batting .248, with a .313 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.86 ERA, with a 1.28 WHIP. Jose Ramirez brings a seven-Game hit streak into this contest, and he leads Cleveland in hits (98), while batting .287, with 14 homers and 53 RBI. Josh Naylor went hard in the Game one loss, and he’s posting team-leads in batting (.306) and RBI (66). Ames Rosario has recorded a hit in ten of the last eleven Games, and he’s batting .267, with 34 RBI for the season.

Tanner Bibee (5-2, 3.46 ERA, 58 Ks) will get the call for Cleveland. The rookie righty closed his first half of major league ball on a solid note by holding Kansas City to just one run through five innings pitched. Bibee has been very steady since coming aboard in late April, allowing three runs or less in eleven of his first thirteen big league starts.

Rangers Betting Preview

Texas moved to 54-39 after defeating Cleveland. The Texas offense is scoring 4.88 runs per Game, while batting .272, with a .341 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.77 ERA, with a 1.20 WHIP. Corey Seager homered and doubled in the Game one victory, and he’s leading the AL in batting (.355), with twelve home runs and 52 RBI. Adolis Garcia also went deep and plated three runs in last night’s win, and he leads the Rangers in home runs (24) and RBI (68). Marcus Semien has scored a run in three of the previous four Games, and he leads the team in hits (104) and runs (71), with splits of .268/11/56.

Martin Perez (7-3, 4.81 ERA, 60 Ks) will take the mound for Texas. The veteran left hander was beat up on swiftly by in-state for Houston in his last start, surrendering six runs in just over one inning pitched, but he magically avoided the losing decision due to glorious run support. Perez delivered three straight quality starts prior to the Astros matchup, but he’s shown the tendency to get blown up at times this season, and Cleveland could give a real fight trying to prevent the sweep here.

Cleveland vs Texas Trends

Cleveland is 44-46 against the spread this season, with a 35-52-3 O/U record. Texas is 53-38 ATS this year, with a 47-36-8 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

The elements are there for Cleveland to prevent the sweep here Sunday. They hold a noticeable advantage with Tanner Bibee on the hill, and they should be able to get after Martin Perez at the plate. Even with that being said, it’s hard to fade this Rangers team at home. I like targeting the total here, and after yesterday’s low-scoring bout, this matchup could see a few more fireworks. Take the Over for Game three.
